You have to ask yourself what do the majority of people on Facebook want. Given the current economic crisis, it would be overall acceptable to assume that these areas people would need help in and would likely click on to buy :
- Credit Repair – everybody has bad credit right now, and they are desperate for new ways to repair their credit. If you find an affiliate market for this, men and women would be your target audience. Given the fact that men and women are potential click through, you want to target one ad towards what men would be more likely to click on, and then make another ad that would be geared towards women. Even offers that have to do with selling your house are good too.
Test your ads see what kind of conversions you receive for ads targeted toward men, and do the same for women’s ads.
- Dating – especially since the economic downturn, dating online has increased substantially. People are looking for others to help them get through their discomfort feelings of not having money.
Niche dating specifically is great because more and more demo graphs of people are looking for people online. With our society people are getting pretty picky, and if you know anything about it or research how people decide on a mate, then you can focus your ad campaigns accordingly.
Try targeting a market like “blacks online dating”; I actually had a nice bit of traffic, which was easy to get online since there isn’t a whole lot of dating sites for black people online. It’s a less competitive market and you can get some good conversions.
- How To Make Money Online/ How To Make Money From Home- This market is very profitable right now, since the economy is so bad there is literally no options for people in need of income. They are being forced to look for new alternatives to work, and working from home is cost effective, and appealing. With the car repossessions on the rise, some people feel the burden and hopelessness have what to do in the event of if they were to find a job, how would they get to work. Working from home bridges the gap in the high unemployment rate and people are desperate for answers. For example the video professor has been a great offer to run. Teaches people how to use excel, and various microsoft office products. In addition to that learning how to make money on ebay is apart of the video professor collection.
- Weight loss (*Acai Berry Products are Hot Now and Colon Cleanse) – at the beginning of every year people are rushing to get rid of that 10 lbs of fat they gained over the holidays. This is prime time for weight loss affiliates. Women are majority in target audience for this market.
- Shoes & Handbags (http://www.Zappos.com)– one things for sure about women, they will starve themselves in order to get their hands on a new designer handbag, or pair of shoes. These are pretty easy to promote, since a picture of high heels, or a handbag does the trick. That coupled with a contest, or special offer or discount and you have clicks going through the roof.
Caution yourself with this one, women are known to shop and not buy they like to fantasize about what they could have, even if they can’t afford it. Don’t let this make you go broke in paying for Facebook’s ads. You didn’t hear this from me, but it might be a good idea to promote geared towards people in rich neighborhoods.
If you can find something that rich people all have on their Facebook profiles, that other non rich people don’t have then use it in your ads campaign. Facebook doesn’t allow for advertisements to specially be promoted in any certain zip code, it would be nice but they don’t so you have to look for slicker methods of obtaining the similar results you would achieve with geo-targeted traffic.
Make Money Online Surveys – these actually work and you really can make money doing surveys online. People all over the world are desperate for extra income. Try it out.
IQ quizzes – IQ quizzes are very popular on Facebook Ads but they seem to be oversaturated.
Who Viewed Your Profile – Ive seen a few of these offers on Facebook, and I have been tempted to click on these myself. I bet if it were a bit more appealing I would have. Actually I think I clicked one once, but then figured out that it was an Ad.
Who looked at your profile ads are pretty sneaky offers, because they actually show up in my news feeds which trick you into thinking that its a free feature that Facebook users have.
Plentyoffish.com has this free feature that users are all able to use. I personally use this a lot whenever I log into my dating account. I like being able to know who looks at me, it helps me find new people that I didn’t know where online.
Women rely on this on that dating site and match.com as their sole means of checking to see if people are looking at them. Most women don’t really contact men on dating sites so this would be something you would most likely want to market towards men.
